The fastest way to delete all synced Tyze data is inside the app. Open Profile, choose Delete account, and confirm. Deleting the app or signing out does not delete your account.
1. Account and content controls
Review or correct profile information
Open Profile in Tyze to update your display name, handle, profile photo, and week-start preference. You can edit or remove goals and session entries from their detail screens.
Control social visibility
You choose whether a goal is shareable. You can decline or withdraw a request, remove a friend, decline a group invitation, leave a group, or call off a group you created using the controls in Friends. Removing a connection does not rewrite legitimate group history.
Delete your account
- Open Tyze and select the Profile tab.
- Scroll below Sign out and select Delete account.
- Review the warning and choose Delete everything.
Account deletion removes your active account and associated synced goals, sessions, history, saved places, friendships, group stakes, notifications, push tokens, and entitlement mirror. It cannot be undone. Limited records may remain temporarily in protected backups, provider logs, or records required by law, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
2. Optional device permissions
You can change Tyze permissions at any time in iOS Settings. Turning off a permission may disable the related feature.
| Permission | What it enables | How to stop it |
|---|---|---|
| Notifications | Personal reminders and social alerts | iOS Settings, Notifications, Tyze |
| Location | Arrival reminders for places you save | Remove the saved place in Tyze and change Location access in iOS Settings |
| Calendars | Local matching of event titles against your keywords | Turn off Calendar reminders in Tyze or Calendar access in iOS Settings |
| Focus | Whether an iOS Focus is active during a session | Change Focus access in iOS Settings |
| Family Controls and Screen Time | Optional app tracking thresholds and app blocking | Remove the selection in Tyze or revoke Family Controls authorization in iOS Settings |
| Photos | Selecting a profile photo | Remove the photo in Profile and change Photos access in iOS Settings |
3. Subscription choices
Tyze Premium is purchased and billed by Apple. You can view, change, or cancel an active subscription in your Apple Account subscription settings. Cancelling normally leaves Premium active through the end of the paid period.
Deleting your Tyze account or the app does not automatically cancel an Apple subscription. Cancel through Apple separately if you do not want it to renew. Use Restore Purchases in Tyze to reconnect an eligible subscription to your Tyze account.
4. Access, correction, and deletion requests
You may ask whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, request correction, or request deletion, subject to applicable law. Email privacy@tyze.app with:
- the Tyze handle connected to your request, if you have one;
- the type of request you are making;
- a clear description of the information involved; and
- an email address where we can respond.
Do not send your Apple password, payment card information, or a copy of government identification unless we specifically explain why a limited form of verification is legally necessary.
5. Verification, timing, and appeals
We need to verify that a request belongs to the correct account before disclosing or changing personal information. Verification may use the signed-in account, a response through the account's Apple relay or email address, or other information already associated with the account.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law. Complex requests may require additional time, and we will explain an extension where required. We may deny or limit a request when the law permits, such as when we cannot verify it, fulfilling it would expose another person's information, or retention is legally required. We will explain the reason and any available appeal or complaint option.
You may also contact the privacy or data protection authority where you live. In Canada, this may include the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or an applicable provincial authority.
